Has extensive experience in executive business management globally as well as technology development, including a successful medical system commercialization. He has led seven start-up ventures and has extensive world-wide licensing experience.
Previously, among other positions, Dr. Bonner was Vice President, BF Goodrich; Senior Vice President, Westlake Chemicals; Global Director of Technology, Rohm and Haas; and Vice President, Cabot Corporation. He is a principal and owner of Pretium Innovation. Immediately prior to Stematix, he served as CEO and President of Regenetech, Inc., an adult stem cell technology licensing company.
Dr. Bonner earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. He was named a Distinguished Engineering Graduate of the University of Texas at Austin in 2001. He has served on several U.S. National Academy of Science and National Academy councils and committees and has been an advisor to the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Texas at Austin, Vanderbilt University, Rice University, and the University of Akron. He has served as an External Examiner in the Ph. D. Program at IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland. He was an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University and published widely in his field. He has lectured on technology and on commercial innovation practices in graduate programs and seminars at Rice University, the University of California, Berkeley; Columbia University, Drexel University; the University of Texas at Austin; and IMD (Lausanne).
